What is Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.?

Capital One Arena is a major indoor sports and entertainment venue located at 601 F Street NW in Washington, D.C., right in the Chinatown/Penn Quarter area near downtown. It first opened in December 1997 and has since hosted millions of fans for pro sports, concerts, and big events. The arena is home to the NHL’s Washington Capitals, the NBA’s Washington Wizards, and also sees NCAA basketball games and major tours throughout the year. It’s known for its lively atmosphere and being at the heart of D.C.’s entertainment district.
