Life in Kherson has changed dramatically since the full-scale war began, and many people who remain adjust to constant danger. Because of regular drone and artillery strikes, many residents spend parts of their day underground or in improvised shelters to stay safe. Basic services like transportation, healthcare, and utilities struggle to operate normally under these conditions, which makes daily tasks harder than before. Some cultural and community spaces still operate in limited ways, as people work to keep a sense of normalcy alive. Schools, markets, and workplaces have adapted to the security situation and often close or modify schedules during heavy bombardments. Many citizens rely on communication apps and alerts to know when it’s safe to move around the city. Still, families, helpers, and volunteers do what they can to care for each other in really tough conditions.
