What is the Columbus Civic Center?

The Columbus Civic Center is a big multi‑purpose arena in Columbus, Georgia that hosts lots of different events like concerts, sports games, expos, and shows. It opened back in 1996 and has seating for up to around 10,000 fans depending on the event setup. You’ll find hockey games, indoor football, basketball, and family shows here during the year. It’s owned and run by the City of Columbus and sits at 400 4th Street right near downtown. The layout includes a main arena floor, hospitality suites, and plenty of space for big events. People also point out that it’s one of the main venues in the region for entertainment attractions. Locals sometimes call it “The Dragons Den” because the Columbus River Dragons play there.
