Ford Field is the home stadium of the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. The Lions moved there in 2002 after leaving the Pontiac Silverdome. Every NFL home game for the team takes place inside this stadium during the football season. The venue is also famous for the Lions’ annual Thanksgiving Day game, which has been a tradition for decades. Thousands of fans pack the stadium to watch the team compete in the NFC North division. When the Lions qualify for the postseason, playoff games are also played there. For football fans in Michigan, Ford Field is the main place to see NFL action in person.
