Jordan-Hare Stadium currently holds about 88,043 fans, making it one of the largest college football stadiums in the United States. Over the years the stadium has expanded many times to handle Auburn’s growing fan base. When it first opened in 1939, the original capacity was only a small fraction of what it is today. Multiple renovations and upper deck additions dramatically increased the number of seats. The stadium is now among the largest on-campus stadiums in college football. During big rivalry games, the venue is completely packed with Auburn supporters wearing orange and blue. With more than eighty-eight thousand people cheering, the atmosphere can feel incredibly intense and loud.
