Is the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge the longest bridge in the world?

The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is not the longest bridge overall, but it does hold a specific world record. It has the longest main span of any suspension bridge in the world at 2,023 meters. This means the distance between its two main towers is the longest ever built. However, some other bridges are longer in total length when including all sections. What makes this bridge special is its engineering design and span size. It surpassed Japan’s Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which held the record for many years. So while not the longest overall, it is the longest of its kind.
