The bridge is located in Çanakkale Province in northwestern Turkey. It crosses the Dardanelles Strait, which connects the Aegean Sea to the Sea of Marmara. The bridge links the town of Lapseki on the Asian side with Gelibolu on the European side. This location is historically important because of the Gallipoli campaign during World War I. The bridge sits slightly south of the Sea of Marmara. It’s also part of a larger highway project connecting major regions of Turkey. This makes it a key route for both local and long-distance travel.
