Cool facts about Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is actually made up of three waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. It straddles the U.S.-Canada border between New York and Ontario. Over 3,000 tons of water flow over the falls every second. The falls formed about 12,000 years ago during the last Ice Age. Nikola Tesla helped harness their power to create the world’s first large-scale hydroelectric station. Daredevils have gone over the falls in barrels since the early 1900s. Niagara Falls is a major honeymoon and tourist destination.
