The island has over 270 miles of coastline. Old San Juan is one of the oldest colonial cities in the Americas. It’s the birthplace of reggaeton music. Puerto Rico uses the U.S. dollar and U.S. postal services. The Arecibo Observatory was once the world’s largest radio telescope. Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens but cannot vote in presidential elections.
