How tall are the faces at Mount Rushmore?

Each president’s face at Mount Rushmore is approximately 60 feet tall. The eyes are about 11 feet wide, and the noses measure around 20 feet long. The mouths are roughly 18 feet wide. The scale of the sculpture makes it visible from miles away. Creating such enormous features required careful planning and precision. Workers used dynamite for rough shaping and drills and chisels for detailed carving. The impressive size contributes to the monument’s status as a world-famous landmark.
