When was Mount Rushmore completed?

Construction of Mount Rushmore began in 1927 and continued until 1941. The project faced challenges, including harsh weather, funding shortages, and technical difficulties. Sculpting the massive faces of the four presidents took years of precise work. Although the original plan included full-body statues, only the heads were completed due to budget and time constraints. The monument was officially dedicated in 1941. Despite being unfinished in some aspects, it remains an iconic symbol of the United States. Mount Rushmore’s completion marked a major achievement in American art and engineering.
