The primary language spoken in Crimea is Russian, which dominates daily life, education, and government functions. Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar are also recognized languages but are less widely used. Many residents are bilingual or multilingual due to the region’s diverse cultural background. Historically, Crimean Tatar was the main language before Russian dominance. Today, efforts are ongoing to preserve the Crimean Tatar language and heritage.
