Can I see the filming locations from The Lord of the Rings in New Zealand?

Absolutely—New Zealand basically is Middle-earth. Hobbiton near Matamata is a must if you’re a fan; the movie set is still standing and open for tours. Tongariro National Park doubled as Mordor, and Fiordland National Park was used for epic scenery shots. Weta Workshop in Wellington also has behind-the-scenes tours. Even if you’re not into LOTR, the landscapes themselves are movie-level stunning. It’s like stepping into a fantasy world everywhere you go.
