In major cities and touristy spots like Vilnius, Kaunas, or Klaipėda, tons of people—especially younger folks—speak English. Even older generations in city centers usually have a decent handle on it, so you’ll get by just fine. But don’t be surprised if you hit rural areas and English becomes a bit rarer. Locals love it when you try out a few Lithuanian phrases like “labas” (hey) or “ačiū” (thanks), even if it’s just broken pronunciation. It's a small effort that gets big smiles.
