The standing bronze replica is much smaller than the 1893 giant — it’s roughly 24 feet tall (about 7.3 meters). The replacement was created as a reduced-scale, permanent memorial and was dedicated in the 1910s to mark the fair’s anniversary and related commemorations. So the version in the park isn’t tiny, but it’s not the towering colossus that once dominated the fairgrounds. It still sits on a substantial granite pedestal, so from ground level it reads as an important monument. If you compare old photos of the Court of Honor to today, you can see how the setting changed but the statue’s role as a focal point stayed the same.
