Where is Botswana and what makes it unique?

Botswana is a landlocked country in southern Africa, tucked between Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. It’s famous for huge, wild spaces—think sprawling deserts and the lush Okavango Delta. The contrast between the dry Kalahari and the watery delta is what really sets it apart. Wildlife density is among the best in Africa, and many trips here feel properly off-grid. The country has a small population, so you don’t get the crowds you see in other safari hotspots. Politically it’s been relatively stable since independence, which helps tourism and conservation. All that adds up to a place that’s equal parts raw wilderness and quietly confident country life.
