Fiji has three official languages: English, Fijian, and Hindi. English is used in government, education, and business, making it easy for visitors to communicate. Fijian is spoken by the Indigenous population, while Hindi is used mainly by Indo-Fijians. Many locals are bilingual or trilingual, switching smoothly between the three languages. In tourist areas, English dominates daily conversation. Learning a few Fijian greetings can make interactions even warmer. The island’s language blend perfectly reflects Fiji’s diverse and friendly culture.
