Yes, visitors are allowed to go inside the Great Buddha. There is a small extra fee to enter the interior. Inside, you can see how the statue was constructed from bronze pieces. It feels quiet and a bit surreal inside the statue. The space is small but interesting. Many people enjoy seeing the statue from the inside at least once. It’s a unique experience you don’t get at many temples.
