Program for February 7 at the 2026 Winter Olympics

February 7, 2026 is the first full competition day of the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics with multiple medal events scheduled across several sports. According to the official schedule, the men’s downhill alpine skiing event in Bormio kicks off the day with one of the first gold medals awarded at the Games.

At the Val di Fiemme cross-country venue, the women’s 10 km + 10 km skiathlon — combining classic and freestyle skiing — also crowns an Olympic champion on this opening weekend of competition.

The snowboard big air final for men takes place in Livigno Snow Park, where riders perform high-flying tricks judged on difficulty and execution for medals.

In figure skating, the team event continues with the men’s short program and the ice dance free dance, bringing both artistic and athletic performances to the ice.

Curling mixed doubles round-robin matches run throughout the day at the Olympic Stadium in Cortina, continuing the intense round-robin battle that began earlier in the Games.

Other events on February 7 include freestyle skiing slopestyle qualification for both women and men, where athletes try to secure spots in finals with stylish runs over jumps and rails.

Women’s ice hockey preliminary round games also continue, featuring teams competing early in their campaign for medal round qualification.

In addition, luge men’s singles and ski jumping women’s normal hill competitions take place, offering more opportunities for early medals and drama in this busy opening weekend of Olympic action.
