Program for February 8 at the 2026 Winter Olympics

February 8, 2026 is a busy competition day at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics with multiple medals on the line across several winter sports. One of the morning highlights is the women’s downhill alpine skiing final, where top skiers race down a challenging slope for one of the first big Olympic titles.

At the Biathlon venue in Anterselva, the mixed relay 4x6 km event takes place, combining speed and shooting accuracy as teams of two men and two women chase Olympic gold.

In Val di Fiemme, the men’s 10 km + 10 km skiathlon — a gruelling cross-country race switching from classic to skate technique — crowns another gold medalist.

The curling mixed doubles round-robin continues throughout the day with several sessions scheduled, giving teams more chances to qualify for medal rounds.

Snowboard action is in full swing at Livigno Snow Park, with men’s and women’s parallel giant slalom finals seeing riders go head-to-head for top honours and women’s snowboard big air qualification later in the evening.

Over at the Speed Skating Oval in Milan, the men’s 5000 m speed skating final tests endurance and pacing as athletes chase Olympic glory on fast ice.

In figure skating, the Team Event continues with free skating segments for pairs, women’s singles, and men’s singles, keeping fans glued to one of the Games’ most artistic competitions.

Women’s ice hockey preliminary round games also feature on the schedule, with national teams battling for positions early in the tournament.
