Team Czech Republic will compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, with around 100 athletes as qualification continues and the Czech Olympic Committee finalizes entries. Most of these spots come from strong team qualifications such as men’s and women’s ice hockey, which account for many Czech athletes due to both squads earning Olympic places.

The ice hockey teams are among the biggest stories for Czech fans, with the men’s roster featuring NHL stars like David Pastrňák, Martin Nečas, Tomáš Hertl, Ondřej Palát, Lukáš Dostál and Radko Gudas aiming to challenge for a medal — and potentially chase the nation’s second Olympic gold after Nagano 1998. The women’s team, having qualified through playoffs, opens its tournament in Group A and looks to improve on its previous Olympic performance and reach the quarterfinals.

The Czech alpine team will also feature competitors in men’s and women’s events, where athletes like Jan Zabystran — who recently notched his first World Cup victory in super‑G — add momentum and a shot at top‑flight results.

Other snow and ice disciplines such as cross‑country skiing, ski mountaineering, curling, and speed skating will see Czech entries, with athletes aiming for personal bests and occasional podium pushes.

While Olympic medals are tougher to predict outside hockey and individual strength events, the Czech Republic’s mix of experienced stars and emerging talents gives fans plenty of reasons to watch their performances closely.

Overall, Team Czech Republic brings one of its largest Winter Olympic contingents in years, blending team sports, skill athletes, and veteran performers in a show of depth and ambition at Milano Cortina 2026.
