Right around Phil’s Burrow in Punxsutawney you’ll find a bunch of fun, quirky stuff tied to Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day. There are lots of groundhog statues and photo spots scattered around downtown that make for great selfies or souvenir pics. The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club organizes events, especially around Groundhog Day, like balls, banquets, and parades that highlight local culture. Gobbler’s Knob, where the big Groundhog Day ceremony happens each February, is just a short drive away and is worth a visit if you’re into folklore. You’ll also see restaurants, cafes, and gift shops selling groundhog-themed gear so you can take home a memory. Walking around town feels like a chill little scavenger hunt if you’re into fun roadside attractions. Most visitors spend a couple of hours exploring these spots, snapping pictures, and grabbing a bite before heading out to the next stop.
