Williams-Brice Stadium is the home football stadium of the South Carolina Gamecocks and is located in Columbia, South Carolina. The stadium is owned by the University of South Carolina and hosts all of the team’s home games during the college football season. It originally opened in 1934 and has grown into one of the biggest venues in the Southeastern Conference. Over the decades it has become a major part of Gamecock football culture and traditions. Fans from across the state and beyond travel to Columbia every fall to watch games there. The stadium is known for its loud crowd and strong home-field advantage for South Carolina. Today it’s considered one of the most recognizable college football stadiums in the Southeast.
