The LA Memorial Coliseum is a huge historic stadium in Los Angeles, California, located in the Exposition Park area near the University of Southern California. It first opened in 1923 and was originally built as a memorial to World War I veterans. Over the years it became one of the most famous sports venues in the United States. The stadium has hosted countless major events including college football games, concerts, and international competitions. It’s especially well known as the longtime home of the USC Trojans football team. The Coliseum has also hosted multiple Super Bowls, World Series games, and other huge sporting moments. Because of its long history and iconic architecture, many fans call it “The Grand Old Lady” of stadiums.
