When was the LA Memorial Coliseum built?

Construction on the LA Memorial Coliseum started in late 1921 and the stadium officially opened in May 1923. It was built to honor soldiers who died in World War I and later became a memorial to veterans of all wars. The project moved quickly and was finished in less than two years. At the time, it was one of the largest stadiums on the West Coast. Over the decades the venue has been expanded and renovated several times to keep it modern. Major renovations happened in different years, including a large upgrade between 2017 and 2019. Even with those updates, the Coliseum still keeps its classic historic look.
