How many people does Lane Stadium hold?

Lane Stadium has a seating capacity of about 65,600 fans for Virginia Tech football games. Over the years, the stadium has been expanded several times to handle the growing popularity of Hokies football. When it first opened in 1965, it was much smaller and looked very different from the modern version fans see today. Major renovations added more seating, luxury suites, and upgraded fan areas around the stadium. Even with all those updates, the stadium still keeps its classic college football vibe. Big games often sell out, especially rivalry matchups or nationally televised games. When the stands are full, it becomes one of the loudest places to watch college football.
