What is the Howard Frankland Bridge and why is it important?

Howard Frankland Bridge is a major highway bridge that connects Tampa and St. Petersburg across Tampa Bay. It carries Interstate 275, which is one of the busiest routes in the region. The bridge is basically a key link for commuters, tourists, and freight traffic moving between the two cities. Without it, driving around the bay would take a lot longer using alternate routes. It’s known for heavy traffic during rush hours because so many people depend on it daily. Over the years, it has been expanded and rebuilt to handle more lanes and improve flow. Most locals see it as one of those “you can’t avoid it” parts of driving in the area.
