Selawik Lake is full of Arctic wildlife, especially species adapted to cold and wet environments. You can often see migratory birds like ducks, geese, swans, and sandpipers during the summer season. The area is also home to fish like sheefish, Arctic grayling, and northern pike. Land animals nearby include moose, bears, wolves, and foxes, although sightings depend on the season and location. The wetlands around the lake make it a critical breeding and feeding ground for many species. In summer, the area becomes very active with wildlife movement and bird migration. It’s a great place for people who are really into remote nature watching and photography.
