Lethal weapons are all types of arms, intended to kill people.
The word "lethal" comes from the Latin "Lethum" (death), which, in turn, goes back to the Greek Lethe (forgetfulness). Thus "lethal" is a synonym for such words as "deadly" or "made to kill". Lethal weapons include all types of small arms, as well as ammunition, bombs, missiles, and other things that are aimed at defeating enemy troops.
What, then, is not a lethal weapon?
Lethal weapons do not include protective ammunition: bulletproof vests, helmets, camouflage equipment, and so on.
Usage Example:
The US sent lots of lethal weapons to Ukraine in 2022, hoping that it will be able to defeat Russia.
