Rapper Sean Kingston sentenced in federal fraud case

A Florida judge handed the performer a three-and-a-half-year prison term. Prosecutors said he and an accomplice used falsified wires to obtain luxury goods. The case involved a bullet-resistant vehicle, high-end watches, and an enormous LED screen. Defense counsel argued the artist has begun restitution efforts. Victims pursued civil claims to recoup losses alongside the criminal case. The ruling closes a years-long investigation that drew national attention.
