When was the Pentagon built?

Construction of the Pentagon began on September 11, 1941, and was completed on January 15, 1943. The building was designed to centralize the offices of the U.S. military, which were previously scattered around Washington, D.C. Despite wartime constraints, it was completed in record time. The Pentagon’s design was innovative, allowing efficient movement between offices. It has since undergone expansions and renovations to accommodate modern needs.
