Babylon made significant contributions to law, mathematics, astronomy, and literature. Hammurabi’s Code established one of the earliest comprehensive legal systems. Babylonian astronomers tracked celestial movements and developed calendars that influenced later civilizations. The city also produced myths, epics, and religious texts, such as the Enuma Elish creation story. Architectural achievements included ziggurats, city walls, and palaces adorned with glazed bricks and reliefs. These accomplishments made Babylon a model of ancient urban and intellectual development.
