The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, although their exact location and existence remain debated. They were said to consist of terraced gardens with lush greenery, exotic plants, and flowing water. According to legend, they were built by King Nebuchadnezzar II for his wife, Amytis, who missed the mountains of her homeland. The gardens symbolized engineering skill and aesthetic beauty. Even if they were partly mythical, they contributed to Babylon’s enduring fame.
