The official language of Turkey is Turkish. It’s spoken by almost everyone and used in government, schools, and media. Turkish uses the Latin alphabet and is known for its vowel harmony and smooth flow. Kurdish is also spoken by a large minority, especially in the southeastern regions. Arabic and Zaza are spoken in smaller communities. English is taught in schools and used in business and tourism. The Turkish language connects the country’s diverse people and reflects its blend of European and Asian influences.
