Harrison married Caroline Scott, and their relationship is often described as warm, supportive, and very home-centred. Caroline played a big part in shaping the social side of the Harrison White House and was known for her delicate health but strong personality. Their home life balanced out Harrison’s serious nature, making him more relaxed around people he trusted. After Caroline passed away, Harrison remarried, which stirred some drama at the time because his second wife was younger. Still, he stayed committed to family his whole life.
