One thing to remember is that traffic can be chaotic, so be careful when crossing streets or riding scooters. If you enjoy wandering around cafes, galleries, and quiet rice field paths, most areas feel fairly relaxed and safe. Just trust your instincts if something doesn’t feel right and stick to well-lit, populated areas at night.
