Komodo Island and the surrounding national park offer tons of activities beyond just spotting dragons. You can go hiking with ranger-led treks through rugged terrain to see wildlife and scenic viewpoints. Boat tours usually include stops for snorkeling and scuba diving at world-class underwater sites full of coral and vibrant fish. Many tours also visit beautiful beaches, including pink sand beaches made from crushed red coral. Some trips include island hopping to places like Padar Island, where you can hike for incredible panoramic views. If you’re into photography, Kalong Island’s sunset bat flights are a bucket-list experience. For the most relaxed visits, you can just chill on the deck of your boat or explore local villages near Labuan Bajo.
