Tours and visits to the Bird’s Nest are open to the public most days, and you can walk around the inside even when there’s no event happening. Many visitors take a self-guided or guided tour that lets them see parts of the structure up close and learn about its history. Inside, there are displays celebrating the stadium’s role in the Olympics and sometimes exhibits about Chinese sports history. You can also walk on the skywalk up on the steel structure, which gives great views across Olympic Park and the city skyline. The ground area sometimes hosts leisure areas, events, and seasonal attractions. Most people spend about 1–2 hours exploring the stadium and taking photos. Just make sure to check current opening hours and ticket info before you go.
