Visiting the stadium is awesome during daylight hours when you can see all the details of the steel design up close. In the evening, the stadium lights up beautifully, and photographers often say nighttime visits are unforgettable. Weekdays are usually less crowded than weekends or holidays, so if you can visit then, you’ll have more space to explore. Summer in Beijing can get very hot, so bring water and sun protection if you’re touring outside. Winters are chilly but the Ice and Snow Festival makes that season special too. Always check the official opening hours on the day you plan to go, because they sometimes adjust them for events or maintenance. Pairing your visit with the Water Cube and Olympic Park walk makes for a full and fun day trip in the city.
