When was Faurot Field built?

Construction on the stadium began in 1925 and the first game was played there in October 1926. The project cost about $525,000 at the time, which was a big investment for a college sports facility in that era. The stadium was built in a horseshoe shape that still defines its layout today. Over time, additional seating sections filled in more parts of the stadium while keeping the original design style. Many renovations have taken place since then to add modern amenities and improve the fan experience. These upgrades included better concourses, press areas, and premium seating spaces. Despite all those changes, the stadium still keeps much of its historic character from the early 20th century.
