Georgia is pretty much seasonal-everything: spring and fall are ideal for city wandering and wine-country tours, with mild weather and fewer crowds. Summer is great for the Black Sea coast and highland trekking in places like Kazbegi or Svaneti, but it can be busy and hot in lower elevations. Winter draws skiers to Gudauri and Bakuriani, and mountain villages become snowy postcards if you’re into that. Shoulder seasons (April–June, September–October) give you sunny days, affordable prices, and crisp mountain air for hiking. Keep in mind that weather can change fast in the mountains, so pack layers and prepare for sudden rain or colder temps. If you want wine festivals and harvest vibes, aim for late September/October — it’s when Kakheti is buzzing. Ultimately pick the season that fits your plans: skiing, beaches, hiking, or food + wine exploration.
