Washington became famous for leading the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. He didn’t win every battle, but he kept the army motivated and together when times were rough. His patience and steady decision-making helped the U.S. survive long enough to get real victories. People respected him a lot, and his troops believed in him. His leadership at Valley Forge is often remembered as a symbol of endurance. Washington wasn’t the most skilled tactician, but he was an incredible organizer and motivator. That’s a big part of why he’s remembered as a great commander.
