George Washington was the first president of the United States and one of the key leaders who helped shape the early country. People still talk about him because he set many traditions presidents follow today. He led the Continental Army during the American Revolution and helped the colonies gain independence. Even though he wasn’t a flashy guy, his calm leadership made a huge impact. Washington stayed out of drama and focused on keeping the country stable. That’s why he’s often called the “Father of His Country.” His legacy still feels huge in American history.
