What’s next for the LHC in the future?

The LHC continues to be upgraded to achieve higher collision energies and greater data precision. One major upcoming phase is the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), which is expected to begin operations in the late 2020s. This upgrade will increase the number of collisions by a factor of 10, allowing more detailed study of rare particles and interactions. Scientists hope to uncover evidence of dark matter, supersymmetry, or unknown forces of nature. The LHC will remain a centerpiece of particle physics for many years to come.
