Oh yeah, floods are pretty common along the Mekong. In the rainy season, the river can swell up big time, sometimes damaging farms and villages. But those floods also bring nutrients that make the soil super fertile. It’s kind of a double-edged sword: tough for people when it’s too much, but essential for agriculture. Climate change is making the flooding more unpredictable, which worries locals a lot.
