The Mekong Delta is where the river finally empties into the sea, and it’s often called Vietnam’s “rice bowl.” The land there is super fertile, so it’s perfect for growing rice, fruit, and veggies. Life in the delta is very water-based—people live in stilt houses, move around by boat, and shop at floating markets. It’s one of the most unique and photogenic parts of Southeast Asia. If you love culture and food, it’s a must-see.
