The Mekong River starts way up in the Tibetan Plateau in China and flows all the way down to the South China Sea in Vietnam. Along the way, it passes through six countries: China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. That makes it one of the most international rivers in the world. Its journey is over 2,700 miles long, so it’s a pretty serious waterway in Asia.
